congress party, my pooch

when i die, i want to come back as the congress party.

i'll be a blob, a forming, re-forming thing..a perpetual changing object, a now amorphous, now defined mass of flubber with one unchangeable feature which would be my tail. my tail would define me, be my compass, my head and my vishnu and my brihaspati and my meru and my indra and my iravata and my samaveda and my ganga and my skanda and my ashwatha and my narada and my bhrigu and my kapila and my maritchi and my uchchaisravas and my vajra and my kamadhenu and my vasuki and my varuna and my yama and my prahlada and my garud and my gayatri and my mrigasira and my vasanta and my first, and last and my middle..

the rest of me shall live, work, strain to please my tail... my gandhi.

i'm sorry... the first line should read ' when i die, i want to come back as the congress party's tail'.

Hilarious post on a sad topic!

mridula,
i'm trying to laugh it off only because i don't know how else,as a citizen, to do deal with it. thanx mridula.

The tail metaphor is particularly apt. The tail is evolutionary-historical baggage that once must have served a purpose, although its use today is unclear.

I think you need to enable spam filtering in your comments. There's an option somewhere.

kuffir said...

venu,
yes i should.. but again i think, why should i subject the few readers i have to body searches ?
word verification works ,i guess,
but i've always felt like an unwelcome intruder at other blogs while going through this process..maybe later..
btw, read your comments at 'other india'.. very lucid, i think you should allow yourself to write more.. whatever the reaction, or lack of it.

Regarding word-verification, well, whatever you feel.

Thanks for the compliment. I am still to form a habit of writing consistently. And it doesnt come very easily to me.

Well, what about you? Surely you have no reasonable excuse to be writing so sporadically? ;-)

Hi Kuffir,

Off Topic-- I got the info about your comment to the Varnasi blast(Terror in Temple Town..T3!!!) blog post in Uma's blog through a very good friend of mine, Narasimhan. He has actually left a comment for you in that post.

We both are great admirers of the clarity in your views/writings. He was just mentioning that you could actually link/post comments that you post in others blog as well in your blog. So, it would be like a one stop shop for us. I too liked the suggestion and thought should let you know. Do think and let us know ur views.

Best regards,
Magesh

magesh,
thanks for the appreciation magesh..yes i read narasimhan's comment..i mean to reply to it on his blog, because the post he commented on is gradually moving to the archives.
yes, i've been thinking about the suggestion you made- i was meaning to write about the subject on my blog when i noticed a post on it in uma's blog. so most of my thoughts went there. i think i'll do it in an expanded form..

Hi Kuffir,

Its not just only that particular comment..my suggestion is about all your comments in general(for e.g even the ones u live in that otharhalf site..)

Best regards,
Magesh

The style is great. You are writing in different styles and doing it great in each style. Thats a gift!

Somehow in India we never had a true liberal or left of the center public opinion (excluding a few english print media). Your opinions are refreshing to hear.

saikanth,
thanx. i truly don't know where i/anyone would place me/myself in a left-right kind of frame/positioning.. i've stopped thinking about rigid, formatted battle lines.. and that i think gives me a little freedom.
as for styles, you flatter me! i'm not sure about that.
